It is! It’s a Canadian Pacific (Railway) hotel, designed by Francis Rattenbury and built 1904 – 1908. Rattenbury’s history is interesting — he was murdered by his 18-year-old chauffeur who was having an affair with his wife, Alma Rattenbury. Alma was cleared of murder and accessory charges but later committed suicide.
Rattenbury also designed the Parliament Buildings in Victoria, which you can see in another recent post.
