Question:What is that conflagration of tubes in the lower right of the shot? Cool looking building. I like how the modernism is set against the older building to the back and left.

That conflagration of tubes is the Olympic Cauldron, from the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
The wonderful Art Deco building in the background is the Marine Building: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_Building

Love that building!
It’s pretty cool looking, isn’t it.
I love the moody sky and the way the building’s surface reflects it.
Vancouver does a good job of that, with all the glass buildings. It helps to give the illusion of some light on the dark, dreary winter days!
