It’s a bar and music venue. It originally opened as The Railwaymen’s Club in 1934, and was a private club for railway workers.

In this article, the present owners describe how they “bought the bar off this chainsmoking lady named Dagmar who ran it with her two boyfriends.” I love that! It’s like something out of a film noir.
